Grouplove "Never Trust A Happy Song" Review/Download
The moment I heard the first line of "Colours", Grouplove had me hooked. So fresh and original, a rare breath of fresh material in a world full of crappy cookie cutter pop music. Then I heard more and more from the album, and was shocked at good this debut album was. Debut albums rarely REALLY impress, but this is an exception, along with bands such as Crash Kings, Paper Tongues, and Young the Giant.
I came across this band after a sleepless night, I was trying to keep myself occupied, and I stumbled upon the song on Billboard.com under the top Rock songs chart. I heard "Colours" and was blown away. 6 AM or not, I know good music when I hear it. I started listening to more songs and new I had to check out the album. All 4 singles released so far are simply perfect. They are my 4 favorites off of the album.
The best songs on the album in my opinion are "Colours" "Lovely Cup" "Itchin' On A Photograph" and "Tongue Tied". These are the 4 singles, all of which have music videos to go with them. Unique music videos, and unique musical sound, what more can you ask for? It's great! There are other great songs on the album such as "Naked Kids", "Cruel and Beautiful World", and "Love Will Save Your Soul". I really like how the band has vocals from a male and female, it really adds to the songs as they switch back and forth on songs such as "Tongue Tied". The chemistry between the singers is great, and their voices sail smoothly over the songs.
Like I said, this is one of the best debut albums I have ever heard, and I would say there is a high replay factor for this album, especially the first 4 tracks! Please check this album out, here is a link to download it http://www.mediafire.com/?dguz5bg1p4dpl7j
