New Found Glory "Radiosurgery" Review
"I need.... Radiosurgery."
Just like the first line of the first song on the title track of the album says, you NEED "Radiosurgery". As in you need the album! This album marks a return to pop punk form for the band New Found Glory. The past few albums released by these boys were starting to sound a bit depressing at times, but now the life and energy are back in this new album.
From the opening track all the way to the close, the albums energy never dies.
My favorite songs on the album are "Radiosurgery","Anthem for the Unwanted", "Summer Fling Don't Mean A Thing", "Trainwreck", "Drill it in my Brain", and "Map of your Body"
All of these songs remind me of the glory days of pop punk music in the early 2000's. I love it! Nostalgia! This album is everything I had hoped for,a nonstop fun record with upbeat lyrics and songs about girls, love, and heartbreak.
Lead singer Chad Gilbert said that in preparation for writing and recording this album, he listened to alot of classic punk records such as Green Day's "Dookie",because he wanted the new album to sound like a cross between an old punk album crossed with everything the band had learned in it's years together.
Overall,I really liked this album and found myself wanting to dance and sing along like I was at a high school dance in the good old days. Hope you guys enjoy the album too!!
91/100
Peace-Jon
